Hello!

I'm Alexzia, MSW, LSWAIC

About Me

My commitment to helping others has been a driving force throughout my career, stemming from a deep-seated belief in the transformative power of compassionate support. My journey through diverse roles in social work has not only enriched my understanding of human resilience but has also honed my ability to foster a non-judgmental and welcoming therapeutic space.

Having provided support across various settings, including community mental health, correctional facilities, non-profit organizations, and public schools, I've witnessed firsthand the profound impact that tailored guidance can have on individuals from all walks of life.

I firmly believe in meeting individuals where they are while gently guiding them to explore the depths of their inner selves. My therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and a genuine desire to empower clients on their unique paths to healing and growth. I recognize that each individual's journey is as unique as they are, and I am dedicated to crafting personalized strategies that align with their specific needs and aspirations. Together, we will navigate the complexities of the human experience, working collaboratively to cultivate a life of resilience, fulfillment, and well-being.

In addition to my passion for counseling, I'm also a firm believer in the therapeutic power of laughter and finding joy in everyday moments. When I'm not counseling, you can catch me and my husband exploring the wonders of the PNW, finding delicious new to us restaurants. Our daughter keeps us giggling with her spunk and awe for life, and I love unwinding with friends over games or snuggling up with our pup, browsing for our next binge-worthy show.

I firmly believe that fostering a sense of playfulness and curiosity can be just as important as delving into deeper emotional work, and I strive to bring a sense of warmth and humor to every session.

My Approach

Emotional connection is a fundamental human need, yet many of us struggle to fulfill it effectively. From a young age, we develop patterns and behaviors that shape how we seek connection, often without even realizing it. These patterns manifest in our relationships with others and ourselves.

At Awe Counseling, I'm committed to helping you examine the foundation of these patterns, identifying what's working and what isn't, and creating a space where you can take risks, be vulnerable, and deepen your self-understanding.
